# Potable water note

## Idea

If the road edge, crossing and paths are being scoped, check the potable-water route at the same time.

A drinking fountain or bottle refill point would make the park more usable for older residents, walkers, campers, families and visitors.

## Do not assume

Do not say the pipe will run through the speed calming works. The nearest potable-water point, route, pressure, backflow, drainage, ownership and maintenance are all **to be confirmed**.

- Council / City Water advice.
- Before You Dig Australia search.
- Whether campground services cross Claytons Road nearby.
- Licensed plumbing / hydraulic advice.
- Accessible fountain location near shade and seating.
- Maintenance and cleaning responsibility.

## Grant wording

> The project will investigate whether a potable-water service can be coordinated with the Claytons Road access works so a drinking fountain or bottle refill point can be added if the connection, route, drainage and maintenance responsibilities are confirmed.
