# Rights and source provenance

Original project direction and manuscript: Luke Nathan Hayes / Strange But True / Aura of Intelligence.

The Strange But True Public Source Licence is copied from the 30 June 2026 strange-but-true revision `b953391fc5596c2e66b3535c45ef6cf6175baa23`, changing only the three project identifiers to installing-the-missing-middle. No Creative Commons licence or blanket open-source licence has been substituted.

Original uploaded documents are preserved byte-for-byte where mirrored. The source register identifies any exact edition still awaiting transfer; another edition is not silently substituted. Third-party sources and rights remain in force. The current plan does not rewrite an older original to make it agree with newer directions.

Chapter artwork is reused from the explicitly connected source projects. Each image retains its source-page and source-image attribution in `content/artwork.json`. Generated concept imagery does not depict an operating installation or an endorsed partnership. No font files are bundled.

The manuscript and website contain the same twelve chapters. PDF and Word editions are built from that manuscript and include the complete supplied-document index and project-link register. The source pack contains available unchanged originals rather than silently converted or reconstructed substitutes.
