# Interim licensing and source credits

The `LICENCE.md` file is the Strange But True Public Source Licence, copied unchanged from Luke Nathan Hayes's `strange-but-true` project at his request on 21 October 2026. It is the interim licence for Luke's original website code, editorial structure and new site material until a shared licence is established. It is a public source licence, not an open-source licence.

Darryl Gough (Daz) supplied the Rough as Guts concept and the draft PowerPoint artwork through Luke. The original embedded images are retained byte-for-byte for comparison and provenance. Their presence does not transfer ownership to Luke or claim that Luke created Daz's source artwork. As section 5 of the licence says, material supplied by others retains its own rights. A shared licence has not yet been finalised or represented as effective.

New illustrations are labelled as AI-generated site artwork. Source illustrations and their transcribed wording are draft reference material, with source defects retained and described. Safety and medical instructions in the source archive have not been independently validated.
