Step 4 of 8Care

Care - Community & Compassion

How do you care, or how would you like to?

Care can be what you already do, what you would like to do more of, or what else you can imagine contributing for people, place, wildlife, or community.

For example: checking on neighbours, welcoming visitors, helping elders, mentoring young people, sharing lifts, cooking, fixing things, fundraising, making calls, or being the person who notices. You can name what you already do, or what else you would like to try.

Include only what you want public. This might be sport, school, arts, church, cultural work, volunteering, caregiving, recovery, informal local groups, helping behind the scenes, or groups you would like to connect with next.

This could include what you already do, what you would like to do more of, or what else you would like to try: beach care, bush care, clean-ups, reporting issues, respecting cultural places, reducing waste, planting, teaching visitors how to behave well, simple local monitoring such as rain gauge notes, wildlife behaviour or population observations, public diary records, or invasive species work such as cane toad hunts and toad tadpole traps with groups like Wildlife Rescue Minjerribah.
