Start a co-op
This is the co-op I'm working to start on Minjerribah, out in the open, with AI as my only co-worker so far. It isn't running yet; it needs people. Here's what I'm building, and how you'd start your own, wherever you are.
What I'm building here
A co-op, waiting on the people who'll own it
A co-op is what happens when a community decides to share the load and share what it builds. I'm putting the groundwork together as something you can look right inside: co-working so people have a place to turn up and work together, trust-building so the relationships hold, and shared-asset readiness so the community is set to look after tools and spaces it owns in common. Because I'm doing it on my own with AI, it stays a description ahead of a membership until the island gets involved.
If you're on Straddie, that's the open invitation: come and help build the trust and be one of the first members. If you're anywhere else, read on.
Build your own, wherever you are
Same idea, shaped to your community
The reason it lives here, on Aura of Intelligence, is so it's more than my island's co-op. Take it as a worked example and build your own: same idea, shaped to your people, your assets, the way trust is already built where you live. Not a copy of mine, yours, custom to your place and your lived experience.
That's the whole point of building your own tools and systems instead of renting someone else's. You keep what you make, and it grows the way your community does. The short video walks through how I'm approaching it, so you can borrow what fits and leave the rest.
