Legal memory with AI
This is a workbench I'm building so your legal information stays in your own hands, not uploaded to someone else's system. I started it on Minjerribah, but it isn't tied to the island; it's a skill you can pick up and use anywhere. Here's what I'm building, and how you'd build your own.
What I'm building here
A workbench that keeps your legal information yours
Legal matters bury you in paper: letters, dates, agreements, notices, the thing someone said on the phone that suddenly matters six months later. Most tools want you to hand all of that up to their servers before they'll help. This is the opposite. It's a plain workbench where your legal information sits in files you hold, on your own machine, and AI helps you sort it, remember it and make sense of it without any of it being carried off to someone else's system. Unlike the island projects, this one doesn't need a crowd to become real; it works the moment you start using it, for you, on your own terms.
I built the first version for my own situation here on Minjerribah, and I'm sharing the whole thing in the open so you can look right inside and see how it holds together.
Build your own, wherever you are
Same idea, shaped to your situation
The reason it lives here, on Aura of Intelligence, is so it's more than my own file of papers. Take it as a worked example and build your own: same idea, shaped to your matter, your documents, the way you actually keep track of things. Not a copy of mine, yours, custom to your situation and your lived experience. Underneath it all is plain Markdown, so it pairs closely with the Markdown with AI course; learn that skill and this workbench stops being a mystery and starts being something you can rebuild and change yourself.
That's the whole point of building your own tools instead of renting someone else's. You keep what you make, your legal information never leaves your hands, and you can carry the workbench with you anywhere. The short video walks through how I'm approaching it, so you can borrow what fits and leave the rest.
