Build a digital twin of your place

This is the digital twin I'm working to start on Minjerribah, out in the open, with AI as my only co-worker so far. It isn't running yet; it needs people. Here's what I'm building, and how you'd build your own, wherever you are.

What I'm building here

A living copy of a place, a twin, never a master

A digital twin is a living copy of a real place its own people can walk through: the tracks, the water, the seasons, the spots that matter and the ones that need care. I'm building the island's version so the community can see it, question it, and have a real say over it. It's a twin, never a master; the map doesn't get to boss the country around. That means it only means something with the community's own input and consent, told by the people whose place it actually is. Because I'm doing it on my own with AI, it stays a description ahead of a crowd until the island shapes what goes in and what stays out. It only becomes real when its own people put their knowledge and their limits on it.

If you're on Straddie, that's the open invitation: come and help ground it, and hold the line on what should and shouldn't be in there. If you're anywhere else, read on.

Build your own, wherever you are

Same idea, shaped to your place

The reason it lives here, on Aura of Intelligence, is so it's more than my island's twin. Take it as a worked example and build your own: same idea, shaped to your town, your landscape, the knowledge your community holds and the say it deserves over how that knowledge is used. Not a copy of mine, yours, custom to your place and your lived experience.

That's the whole point of building your own tools and systems instead of renting someone else's. You keep what you make, your place stays in your community's hands, and it grows the way you decide it should. The short video walks through how I'm approaching it, so you can borrow what fits and leave the rest.
