Home. The market stall, the neighbours, the island that holds my soul. Where everything gets proven first, face to face.
Luke Nathan Hayes / Minjerribah, Quandamooka Country
I'm Luke: songwriter, systems builder, market-stall tinkerer, lifelong explorer. My work is simple to say and takes a life to do: show up where I'm useful, build things that help, leave every place a little better lit. Patrons and sponsors put wind in those sails. In return you get songs, tools, dispatches from the road, and a public record of exactly what your backing moved.
This is not a holiday. This is how we plant the way.

Why I do this
I believe tech should lower stress, not raise it. I believe joy and responsibility can share a bank account. And I believe the future gets built the way anything real gets built: brick by brick, no quick fix, starting exactly where you're standing. Everything behind these doors is that belief with its sleeves rolled up.
We're building the future, brick by brick, one step forward, no quick fix.

Four doors, one life
Everything I make lives at one of four scales. Same person, same values, same open ledger behind all of it, just different neighbours at each door.
Home. The market stall, the neighbours, the island that holds my soul. Where everything gets proven first, face to face.
The country I keep betting on: calm software, real grant work, and a public workbench full of civic tools for a fair go rebuilt.
Our ocean of neighbours. I go where I'm invited and I bring tools as gifts, never as exports.
The eleven-year dream: roughly 256 territories, arriving useful. This is the door patronage opens widest.
The person under the portfolio
Amity Point has held my family for generations. The rest of me was built the long way round.
I learned brakes and steering in my dad's workshop, set up stages at Glastonbury, delivered meals-on-wheels, and won my school's orienteering title by cutting my own path. These days I build calm software. The through-line hasn't changed: practical help, no fuss.
Strange but True at the stall. Luke Catalyst in the systems world. Aura of Intelligence holding the long arc. i C. infinity for everything that needs to be sung.
There's a long life-log a layer down and four albums of it set to music. I'm an evolving being: what you back here is the moving thing, not a snapshot.
Value for value
Buy finished work today, become a steady patron of the whole arc, or sponsor a place-and-time directly. Money is one lane, time is another, and both land on a public Honour Board, because thanks should be visible and no one who helps should be invisible.
