About this site
Two twins were built for Minjerribah. This site is the third build. Luke Hayes made all three with Claude, between July and September 2026.

The builds
A digital twin is a copy of a real place that runs on a computer and shows where each number came from. Minjerribah has two.
Luke Catalyst Nathan Hayes built this with Claude Opus 5, July to August 2026. Many AI sessions ran at once, each on its own task, all writing into one shared folder of code.
Luke and Claude started again from scratch on 18 August 2026, using what the first build taught them. The first build still runs.
Luke and Claude built this in September 2026. It goes through both twins part by part, for someone who has never seen either.
Country
Minjerribah is Quandamooka Country. Both twins acknowledge the Quandamooka People as the Traditional Owners of Minjerribah and of the lands and waters of Moreton Bay, and pay respect to Elders past and present. Both are built from public records. Neither includes cultural material.
This site
Where the pictures came from
The moving island on the front page and the pictures behind each heading come from the same free satellite data. Nothing was drawn by hand.
Colour
Scene S2C_56JNQ, 13 July 2026, cloud at 0.02 per cent. One pixel covers 10 metres of ground, half a cricket pitch. Contains modified Copernicus Sentinel data 2026, processed by the European Space Agency. Free to use with credit.
Elevation
A height map of the whole world, one reading every 30 metres, made for the European Space Agency. It puts Minjerribah's high point at 221 metres. The first build's README says 233. Another of its files says 239. A 30 metre grid rounds peaks off. On the front page the heights are stretched five times, or the island reads flat across 45 kilometres. Stretch it more and a sand island looks like a mountain range.
Processing
Both layers were cut to one grid: 1152 by 2644 pixels, 17.1 metres each. That covers 19.7 by 45.2 kilometres, a box with the whole island inside it. The July scene came out dark, so it was brightened and the colour strengthened. No colour was invented and nothing was painted in.
The front page turns the heights into a solid shape in your browser and drapes the satellite colour over it. The three townships sit at their real coordinates. A browser that cannot do that gets the same data as a flat picture.
Licence
This site runs on the Aura of Intelligence Public Source Licence. Copy it, study it, change it, build on it. That covers you, your class, your art, your research and your community, with credit. A company, an institution or a government needs written permission from Luke Nathan Hayes first. He keeps the commercial rights.
The credit line the licence asks for: "Based on straddie-twins by Luke Nathan Hayes / Strange But True / Aura of Intelligence. Original project: https://github.com/auraofintelligence/straddie-twins. Used under the Aura of Intelligence Public Source Licence."
The full text is in LICENCE.md. Each twin has its own licence file.
The twins
Open them yourself gives the one command that runs either twin on your own computer.
Corrections
Open an issue at github.com/auraofintelligence/straddie-twins. Name the page, quote the line, and point to the file in the twin that says otherwise. A fix to a twin itself goes on that twin's own repository, linked above.
