Both stories were written for a 2045 worldbuilding experiment in 2022. They are not forecasts or records of achieved events. They are source windows into a future where family, intelligence, mobility, culture and planetary responsibility meet inside daily life.

Luke, 13 July 2045

At 6:30 am, grandchildren run into the room before a family reunion and the Live Earth Festival. The sunrise looks across the Pacific and North Stradbroke Island. A holo-itinerary, a descending Starship and a hyperloop journey to an Antarctic city sit beside coffee, fruit and family conversation.

The largest system in the story is also the most intimate: more than 400 co-parents and hundreds of children connected through a Global Group Marriage and coordinated with Aura.

A 16-year-old Mumbai student ignores her AGI alarm, questions the spiritual settings chosen for her Aura and decides how she wants to travel to school. Her day moves from smart glasses and aerial transport to Space Nexus High School and the subterranean City of Light.

Her future is advanced without becoming emotionally effortless. Progress still asks for agency, discernment and courage.

Technology is not the emotional centre

The stories contain AGI, robots, fusion, fast transport, subterranean cities and interstellar missions. Their emotional centre remains recognisably human: a child questioning a setting, a grandparent welcoming family, a parent leaving for unexpected work, a teenager deciding how to travel, and people choosing what to believe.
