Chronicles of the Forgotten · track 15
Cycle of Suns (by she)
analysed
An archivist in a signal-tower observatory has spent a life logging every solar flare into the community archive, waiting for the 'micro-nova' the old records warned of. When it finally arrives and floods the sky with brilliant light, she stops recording, walks out onto the tower, and lets the fire read her name back, choosing to ride the cycle rather than survive it, with no regrets.
Arc: It opens with distant suns turning across the ages that we only watch, and ends with the singer riding that same cycle personally, 'with no regrets', death folded into the turning.

Verbatim lines that stand alone, for lyric posters, metal prints and t-shirts.
The cycle of suns defeats death
The suns that rise, the suns that burn
We ride the cycle, we feel the flame
A dance of fire, in their cosmic eyes
The stars align, they call our name
The suns reveal the truth we share
With no regrets
Woven into endless night
Line by line
“Through the ages, they have turned, / The suns that rise, the suns that burn.”
Open on a locked wide shot of a horizon holding two suns at once: one climbing, one collapsing into embers. Hold long enough that the imbalance feels like a warning, not a sunrise.
“The paths of life that we have grown.”
Match-cut the arc of a sun to a branching path etched into an ancient ruin floor, roots and route lines glowing faintly like circuitry under dust.
“Solar winds and cosmic flame, / They whisper secrets, call our name.”
Push in on a masked institutional figure at a listening dish; the solar wind is visible as fine drifting particles, and their name-badge letters flare up as if the wind is reading it.
“We ride the waves of time and tide.”
Silhouettes stand on the lip of a tower as sheets of light roll toward them like surf. Shoot from behind, low, so the light breaks over their shoulders.
“The stars, they speak in ancient tongue, / Of cycles long, of songs unsung.”
Stars flicker in an uneven pulse; overlay it on a community-archive terminal decoding the pulse into old glyphs it cannot fully translate. Amber text on black.
“The micro-nova's brilliant light, / Is woven into endless night.”
The signature shot: a single point of white detonates and threads filaments outward into pure black, like light being stitched into the dark rather than banishing it.
“A dance of fire, in their cosmic eyes.”
Extreme close-up of an eye, the awakening machine's lens, with two suns turning as reflections on the wet cornea. First hint the intelligence is watching the same cycle we are.
“From birth to death, they rise and fall, / Guiding the fate of us all.”
Time-lapse a sun's full rise and death compressed into seconds, and beneath it a single figure ages across the same seconds, tied to its clock.
“In every life, in every breath, / The cycle of suns defeats death.”
Shoot breath fogging on a cold observatory window at dawn; as the flare light hits, the fog burns off to reveal a name scratched in the glass. Defiance, not comfort.
“In every flare, in every spark, / The echoes ring within the dark.”
In deep shadow, individual sparks drift up and each one briefly holds a faint face before winking out. The dead carried inside the light.
“They know the truth, they hold the key, / To time itself, to what will be.”
A masked archivist holds up a small solar shard like a key; slot it into a ruin-wall mechanism and the whole tower's circuitry lights in sequence.
“From light to shadow, time unfurls, / The sun's great wisdom spans the worlds.”
A single hard shadow line sweeps across an entire landscape of ruins and towers in one continuous crane move, unrolling like a banner over the world.
“The suns reveal the truth we share.”
Flare-light floods a community archive and, for one frame, every masked figure's mask goes translucent, faces briefly visible to each other before it fades.
“The stars align, they call our name.”
Overhead shot: scattered figures across a ruin field all turn their faces up at once as the stars lock into a line, lit from above in cold white.
“With no regrets”
Final image, the archivist steps off the recording desk into the open flare, arms loose. Cut to the archive screen, still running, the words 'with no regrets' left glowing after she is gone.

Verse 1:
Through the ages, they have turned,
The suns that rise, the suns that burn.
From the dawn of time, they’ve known,
The paths of life that we have grown.
Solar winds and cosmic flame,
They whisper secrets, call our name.
A cycle endless, vast, and wide,
We ride the waves of time and tide.
Pre-Chorus:
The stars, they speak in ancient tongue,
Of cycles long, of songs unsung.
The micro-nova’s brilliant light,

The solar winds, they call us near,
To ride the cycle, year by year.
