Native nations of the world / sovereign co-evolution
This is a workbench built to be copied and made your own, for peoples who were never asked: about the data taken from them, the agreements signed around them, and the machines now being trained on all of it. It holds the established record in one hand and open proposals in the other, and it never confuses the two. If AI is about to rearrange the economy, the sciences and the power structures of Earth, the question worth holding is not how to catch up. It is how to reframe the story toward joyful responsible abundance, on each nation's own terms. This site's working answer is small and radical: the C-Hour.
Radical equality: an elder's hour, a coder's hour, a child's hour, exactly the same receipt, every time. No skill-weighting, no seniority, no market pricing anyone's time as worth more than anyone else's. Never fiat: a C-Hour cannot be bought, sold, exchanged for money, traded on any market, or made to earn interest. This is by design and permanent, so care stays counted without ever becoming a currency. That separation is the whole point: money stops standing at the centre, or in the way.
Act one / The ground rules
The audience of this site is self-sovereign peoples. That decides the design: no funnels, no dark patterns, no sign-up walls, and no voice borrowed from anyone.
Nothing on this site directs, coerces, funnels or consents on anyone's behalf. Every pathway is an invitation to consider, and declining it is a complete answer. No nation is listed here by us; nations add themselves, or they don't.
Any nation or person who adds material here keeps full control of it. Correction or removal is one message away: a message to us, or simply your own copy with it taken out. No questions asked, no friction designed in.
Free, prior and informed consent runs through the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. This site treats it as minimum viable respect: consent that can be withheld, withdrawn, and never presumed.
On names
Native nations, First Nations, First Peoples, Indigenous peoples, Aboriginal peoples, tribal nations, and, above every borrowed term, each people's own name in its own language. This site uses "native nations of the world" as a doorway, not a definition. Wherever your name for yourselves differs from anything written here, your name wins. The United Nations estimates there are more than 5,000 distinct Indigenous peoples, some 476 million people across about 90 countries, a figure held as an estimate, stamped 2026-07-10.
Act two / The record
The instruments in these rooms were won by Indigenous peoples over generations. They are presented as established fact, with dates, and with links out to the peoples and bodies who hold them.
UNDRIP and its consent articles, ILO Convention 169, the Nagoya Protocol, and the WIPO treaty on genetic resources and traditional knowledge, quoted, dated, sourced.
CARE, OCAP®, Maiam nayri Wingara, Te Mana Raraunga and the Local Contexts labels: the movement that answers "who owns the data about us?" with "we do."
Living, contested, broken and unwritten agreements between nations and states, held with the same five-question lens the P4A family uses at home, plus a kintsugi shelf for the broken ones.
Act three / The proposals
These rooms are purple all the way down: rapid iterations from one workbench, awaiting better hands. The C-Hour is the reason this site exists; the surge is its proving ground, the compute gradient is what it stands on, and the treaty road is where it leads.
One verified hour of care, stewardship or teaching = one Community-Hour. A receipt, not a coin, designed to mobilise the care economy, never to monetise it, with a legislative ask small enough to fit on one page of any nation's law.
What it looks like when a community steps up care, coordination and resilience all at once: find the care, count the care, then bring the machines to carry it. Care leads or it doesn't happen.
Data sovereignty without compute sovereignty is a promise with nowhere to live. A gradient from the phone in your hand to a library rack on Country, with the hyperscale cloud made optional.
If old agreements were broken, the kintsugi move is to repair them with something more valuable than the original: visible seams, remembered breaks, renewed consent, from local ledgers toward a global weave.
Act four / The pathways
Everything past this point belongs to whoever picks it up. Anyone can copy this whole site for non-commercial use, no permission needed; a nation can take the pattern, the words, or nothing at all.
Three respectful paths: take a full copy of the lab and make it yours; add an atlas entry on your own terms; or hand the agent file to your own AI assistant and let it build your version. Leaving is a fourth path, equally honoured.
If AI frees enormous amounts of human time, the fight is over who the freed hours belong to. One answer: to care, to ceremony, to Country, to science, to art, and to facing the existential threats from ourselves, our technologies and the cosmos, together, at once.
Lineage
This lab is a chapter of the P4A family, a civic workbench pattern, not a party and not a product. The pattern seeded on a small island, rippled into an Australian workbench and an Oceania lab, and is offered here at world scale with its sharpest lesson intact: every place keeps its own law, culture, names, protocol and source memory. The centre of this site is deliberately empty. It is wherever you are.
