Understand tenders. Build local capability.

A public workbench for North Stradbroke Island / Minjerribah: where to watch, how tenders differ from grants, and how local companies, community crews and trusted partners can build capacity before responding.

Tenders are not grants. A grant usually funds a proposed public-good project. A tender is usually a buyer asking a capable business, organisation or delivery team to provide goods, services, works or advice under a contract.

The practical tender ladder.

Start with the live sources, then test whether the opportunity is worth the effort. Some future-facing ideas will first be rehearsed through film, story, game-world or simulation layers. If they begin to touch real grants or tenders, the next step is to qualify the vehicle, partners, permissions and proof.

What is already connected?

The lab is standalone, but it has obvious friends: grants for funding, the ledger for public proof, Ready S.E.T. and Sandworm as optional future-work targets, Mineral Moonshots for major opportunity framing, and the Civilisation of Sand epoch for long-range systems thinking.
