I stopped accepting the default

Around 2012, I was spending more and more time trying to understand law, politics and how people could have a greater say. I started putting those questions into documents and designs. A lot of what I’m building today began there.

I looked closely at law, politics, economics and corporate systems. I did not find a clean place outside them. So I began designing better interfaces for self-development, communication, participation and shared intelligence.

Australian Law 2012, We Will Be Heard and The Constitutional Matrix of Participation were early attempts to work through those questions. I was learning as I went. Keeping the originals here lets you see how the ideas developed.

Where I started

Australian Law 2012

I researched Australian law and wrote about its relevance to my life. This site brings that work together with an explainer of the original material.

Deeper Meaning

I wrote Deeper Meaning as a poem about awareness, choice and the relationships beneath what we first see. One line I have since revised carries it: "You are a black hole and bright star of calm observation and voice."

We Will Be Heard

I wrote We Will Be Heard in December 2013, bringing together identity, expression and participation. One line carries the heart of it: "Know who you are, Make your mark, We will be heard!"

The Constitutional Matrix of Participation

In July 2014 I brought the High Definition Digital Aura together with ideas about communication, learning, value, governance and local production.
