How to read this site
Most projects like this pick a side. They're either all breathless promises, or so hedged with disclaimers that nothing means anything. This one does neither. It puts a plain honest label on every claim, so the copy can be bold and the reader always knows exactly how solid the ground is. Learn the five labels and the two lanes, and you can read the whole site with your guard down, because the honesty is in the label, not hidden in the small print.
The five labels
Every claim wears exactly one.
You'll see these little stamped chips all over the site, next to facts, numbers and ideas. Each one tells you, at a glance, how much weight the claim can bear. That's the whole trick: the label does the hedging so the sentence doesn't have to.
Modelled The maths checks out
Not built yet, but the numbers or the simulation can be run, and someone has run them or plans to. It's honest arithmetic, not a wish. The island's energy budget, the aquifer model, the patient-capital compounder: Modelled.
Disputed Smart people still argue
A live scientific fight, where the honest answer is "we don't know yet, and here's exactly what's argued". We never pretend a disputed thing is settled, in either direction. The size of ancient tsunamis, the solar micro-nova cycle: Disputed.
Speculative Physics allows it, nobody's built it
The laws of nature don't forbid it, but it's unbuilt, unproven, or a long way off. A real idea worth chasing, clearly flagged as a stretch. Lateral wall mining, a sovereign chip fab, bio-leaching the monazite: Speculative.
Fictional The story, proudly
A film, a story, a what-if. This chip belongs to the cinema and the story-world, and to nothing else. It is never put on a real hazard or a real idea to wave it away. If it's chipped Fictional, it's meant to be a story, on purpose.

Alongside the labels, every part runs in one of two lanes. This is how the site refuses to bin a good idea just because the world isn't ready for it yet.
The Build lane
Things you can actually do now, with what's here: take the photo, learn the skill, run the model, fix the fridge, write the software, do the deal. Real steps by real people. Momentum with receipts.
The Screen lane
Where an idea goes when cost, law or Country says not yet: a digital twin, a simulation, a short film, a story. It isn't abandoned, it's staged. The cinema is part of the engineering, not a consolation prize.
The engine
How a wild idea earns its way up.
Here's the part that makes this more than a filing system. A chip isn't a life sentence. Ideas move, and there's only one way to move one up: not by shouting, not by who said it, but by turning it into something anyone can test.
A Speculative idea becomes Modelled the day someone builds a model of it that others can run and pick apart. A Modelled idea becomes Known the day it's actually built and it works. That's the whole ladder, and it's open to everyone. A kid at the bench and a professor get the same deal: bring the runnable thing, or bring the receipts. This is what we mean when we say authority is replaced by reproducibility. It doesn't matter who you are or how sure you sound. It matters whether anyone else, running the same numbers, gets the same answer.
That's also the fair way to handle the wild stuff. A fringe idea and a mainstream one get treated exactly alike: not mocked, not worshipped, just asked the same question. Can you make it into a test we can all run? If yes, run it, and let the numbers speak. If not, it stays a story, honestly labelled, until it can.
The point of all of it
Nobody has to win the argument.
This is the quiet payoff, and it runs through the whole site. Because the honesty is in the labels, the work doesn't have to wait for everyone to agree. You can build the Known things today while the Disputed ones are still being argued, because the very same preparations serve both. Harden the island against the storm we all agree is coming, and you've also hardened it against the deeper thing some people believe in and others don't. Nobody has to win that argument for the work to make sense.
That's the freedom the labels buy. Dream as boldly as you like, argue as hard as you like, and none of it stalls the shovel, because the shovel is already busy on the things nobody disputes. Honesty and ambition stop being enemies. That's the entire method, on one page.
