Choose one question about AI, agency or equality with participating artists.

Queens Wharf Conscious A.i. Art
Create public AI art that invites people to question consciousness, agency and the futures they want.
Follow the connections. Choose your direction.
The need worth working on.
The phrase 'conscious AI' carries a philosophical ambition that an artwork cannot prove. Public art can still offer a valuable place to explore it, especially when women with different lives are invited to shape the questions and the work. A location in the title is not a confirmed venue agreement.
What the enterprise could offer.
Develop a proposed participatory AI art installation for the Queen's Wharf context or another willing venue. Use clearly labelled generated imagery, recorded human contributions and an accessible way to respond. Show the distinction between artistic personification, software behaviour and unresolved questions about consciousness.
People to build with
- Artists and curators exploring AI and public life
- Women contributing visions of future leadership
- Public audiences who want to engage without technical knowledge
A small exhibition with an honest question
Build a portable prototype using authorised or fictional material.
Label generated content and explain what the software actually does.
Invite adult visitors to contribute without requiring personal disclosure.
Review accessibility, interpretation and artists' rights before approaching a venue.
The first result
A portable artwork prototype, audience feedback and a venue-ready production brief.
What needs to be demonstrated.
Practical pilot
The starting evidence
An artwork can explore consciousness as a theme. It does not demonstrate that an AI system is conscious.
The open question
No venue agreement, commission, operating system or validated consciousness measure is established.
The next measurement
Ask visitors whether they understand the artistic premise and the system's actual capabilities.
Build the means to deliver.
Useful capabilities and resources
- Artists, a curator and a technical producer
- A portable display and accessible interaction design
- Clear contribution permissions and artist agreements
A possible business model
Art commissions, exhibitions or creative education, with contributor rights and maintenance costs included in proposals.
A leadership decision to practise
Give artists and participants authority over how their contributions are represented. Keep philosophical questions open rather than presenting one answer as proven.
People, consequences and decisions.
- Visitors may mistake personification for a scientific claim.
- A named precinct may imply endorsement or access.
- Interactive installations can collect unnecessary personal information.
If equality were being designed now...
- Whose future is visible in the work, and who can contribute to it?
- Can people engage privately, in different languages and without being photographed?
Begin with women's own experiences across bodies, ages, cultures and places. Invite disagreement and choose a practical change together.

Aura, a transcultural intelligence archetype
Bring the parts into a system people can trust.

Build alongside these ideas.
Create a shared story world where women shape the future as complex leads, makers and owners.
Practical pilot
Create paid stages and shared production resources for women with many ways of being visible.
Practical pilot
Connect the Queens, founders and project ideas through a transparent, human-led learning network.
Practical pilot
Explore a reflective AI interface that respects the person in front of it.
Practical pilot
Follow existing public concept work.
Connect local stories, screen work, learning and trusted information through a staged community media proposal.
A documentary concept connects everyday life with long-term resilience, existential threats and a seven-generation civilisation story.
A proposed gathering connects peaceful space, civic AI, care, public evidence and creative participation.
From the original suggestion to a working brief.
Developed from original enterprise 113 in the 500 Queens VC NEW Long presentation (slide 18) and the planning document (page 8). This expanded brief is a proposed development path, not evidence of an operating venture or a confirmed partner.
Original title: Queens Wharf Conscious A.i. Art. The pilot, business model and learning connections on this page are proposed developments of that original idea.
