Ask diverse adults what they would and would not want a reflective interface to do.

Magic Mirror Conscious Aura
Explore a reflective AI interface that respects the person in front of it.
Follow the connections. Choose your direction.
The need worth working on.
A mirror can be a place of confidence, routine, play or discomfort. An AI mirror should not assume a woman's goal is to look younger, smaller or more conventionally attractive. The 'conscious Aura' title is an imaginative research framing, not evidence of a conscious system.
What the enterprise could offer.
Develop an optional, non-clinical reflective interface using a screen or mirror-like display. Let the user choose a purpose such as planning a day, rehearsing a presentation or exploring personal style. Begin with a camera-free mode and make appearance assessment unnecessary.
People to build with
- Adults interested in a personal planning or creative interface
- Design researchers studying AI interaction
- Women who want control over how technology addresses their appearance and identity
A mirror that follows the user's purpose
Prototype a camera-free interaction around one chosen task.
Let participants choose tone, language and whether the persona appears.
Test the ability to stop, clear a session and correct an unwanted assumption.
Review whether the interface supported agency or created pressure to follow it.
The first result
A participant-reviewed interaction prototype and a clear data and capability description.
What needs to be demonstrated.
Practical pilot
The starting evidence
A reflective interface can be prototyped with ordinary display and software tools. It does not establish AI consciousness or psychological benefit.
The open question
The original concept specifies no hardware, model, memory design, data arrangement or evaluated user outcome.
The next measurement
Check whether users can complete their chosen task and accurately explain what the interface remembers.
Build the means to deliver.
Useful capabilities and resources
- An interaction designer and software developer
- Paid participants with varied bodies, ages and styles
- A camera-free prototype and clear session controls
A possible business model
A design or software service could be tested after users identify a useful purpose, with optional features rather than compulsory personal-data collection.
A leadership decision to practise
Make the user's goal authoritative. Prohibit hidden appearance rankings and let people reject the persona entirely.
People, consequences and decisions.
- A persuasive persona may make guesses feel like personal insight.
- Appearance-focused defaults can reinforce narrow beauty standards.
- Unclear memory can undermine trust.
If equality were being designed now...
- Can glamorous, large-busted, fat, older and casually dressed women use it without corrective beauty assumptions?
- Does the user control the persona, memory and purpose?
Begin with women's own experiences across bodies, ages, cultures and places. Invite disagreement and choose a practical change together.

From the original suggestion to a working brief.
Developed from original enterprise 114 in the 500 Queens VC NEW Long presentation (slide 18) and the planning document (page 8). This expanded brief is a proposed development path, not evidence of an operating venture or a confirmed partner.
Original title: Magic Mirror Conscious Aura. The pilot, business model and learning connections on this page are proposed developments of that original idea.
