GAJRA Earth
A garland is how small things become worth wearing.
One jasmine flower is nothing much. Strung with others it becomes a thing people dress in for the most important days of their lives. The stringing is the technology. It repeats at every scale we know of, and the name of this association was chosen because it does.
The five scales, and one honesty note
A flower
One act of care. One honest hour. One person helped with one confusing phone at a market stall. The smallest unit of joyful responsible abundance, and the only one that cannot be faked.
A thread of flowers
A household, a kitchen, a stall, a club. Acts of care strung together until they hold weight. This is where trust actually lives, and every larger scale is borrowing from it.
A ceremony
A market day, a festival, a season of gatherings. The garland worn in public: care made visible without being priced. Communities have run this technology for as long as there have been communities.
A city
Infrastructure that strings neighbourhoods together rather than extracting from them: libraries, wards, water, the quiet systems nobody notices until they stop. A city is either a garland or a net. Same materials, same knots. The difference is whether its people wear it, or are caught in it.
The Earth
The aurora: a garland strung by the Sun on the planet's magnetic thread, worn around the crown of the world. It was there before us and needs nothing from us. It is the standing reminder that the pattern was always planetary.
Past the aurora, the metaphor thins.
And we let it. A bearing, not a claim. Metaphors that refuse to admit their edges become mythology, and this site labels its registers.
An aligned system, at any scale, is one that leaves the smaller scales more able to string their own.
That sentence is the test. A model, a product, a company, a policy: ask whether the people underneath it came out more able to make their own thread, or less. The rest of this site is working out what that means in practice.
