GAJRA Earth
Three words, held together on purpose.
Any two are easy. It is the third that makes it hard, and the hardness is the point. Each pair, without its third, is a familiar failure with a long history.
Each word also has a life of its own, and gets its own room below. Holding them together is what the name does.
Joyful
Where the dictionary stops. Two halves, feeling and causing, and it is the causing half a system can be held to. Not a mood on a dashboard: the thing a person reports when you ask them directly, away from the product, a year later. And a thief might be enjoying the theft, so joy on its own is a thin test. That is why the name carries all three.
What people have ruled out so far. Engagement farming. Dark patterns. Retention shaped like addiction. Anything where the delight is harvested off somebody. None of it was decided here: it is what people keep naming when asked, and the list stays open. Joy is the light you travel by, yours to steer by, not a light shone in your eyes to keep you looking.
Still open. Whether joy can be measured at all without the measure becoming a target and eating the thing it measured. That is question two, and it is unsolved.
Responsible
re·spon·si·ble adjective
Having the duty of taking care of something; answerable for an act performed or for its consequences; accountable.

Where the dictionary stops. Answerable, but it does not say to whom, and that missing half is where the argument starts. Here it means the bound drawn around the other two, and a name that answers for where the lines ended up: attributable, auditable, revocable. Unbounded, the other two have nothing to say about the thief enjoying the theft, or about growth eating its host. The connection is worn like clothing, never grafted like skin, and can be taken off by the person at any moment.
Who draws the bound. A single person can draw it. A prophet has, more than once, and a founder, a board or a head of state can. So the claim is not that a bound handed down is impossible: it plainly is not, and sometimes it has held. The question is whether that shape fits what we are carrying now, and the unrest, the inequality and the long list of atrocities carried out in the name of a one or a few suggest not. A bound gets drawn better by the many living inside it and saying when it is wrong. Blood with no vessels is a sphere of life-blood and nothing else: the vessels are the people.
What people have ruled out so far. Compliance theatre. Accountability that dissolves into an org chart. Systems whose failures are everyone's fault and therefore nobody's. Consent captured once and never asked again.
Still open. What a hand on the thing means when the loop runs faster than any hand. That is question four.
Abundance

An overflowing fullness or ample sufficiency; profusion; copious supply.

Where the dictionary stops. Overflow needs a vessel to overflow: name what it is measured against or the word has not said anything yet, and two honest people can read the same situation differently. The useful part is what spills past you. A few people holding almost everything is technically an abundance, and the word raises no objection to that on its own. Which is why the name does not stop at abundance. The wake rather than the wallet: what the work leaves behind, and whether others can build their own with it. Others being wider than people. Beekeepers here say the bees keep count too, and get agitated when flowers are left unpollinated.
It need not be physical. Time, attention, quiet, welcome, somebody's patience all run abundant or run thin. Several of those are metered already, and being counted has not obviously done them much good.
What people have ruled out so far. Growth that eats its host. Plenty hoarded into scarcity. Extraction wearing the word abundance as a costume. Where the line falls is for the people living either side of it to say, and they have not all been asked.
Still open. What happens at the seam where two communities define abundance incompatibly. That is question three.

The carnival that eats its host.
Joy plus abundance, but no responsibility. Plenty and delight with no name attached to the consequences. Every extraction boom in history threw a good party first.
Noble scarcity.
Joy plus responsibility, but no abundance. Careful, kind, and running on fumes. It burns out its best people and calls the burnout virtue.
The well-run warehouse.
Responsibility plus abundance, but no joy. Everything accounted for, nothing worth accounting for. Systems this shape are safe right up until everyone quietly leaves.
The trinity is not decoration. It is a three-legged stool, and the failure modes above are what each pair does the moment its third leg is removed. An aligned system is one that can be audited against all three at once.
Signing joins the definition rather than endorsing one. The signatories are the people writing it.
