Installing the
Missing Middle

Each installation builds the next workforce

Capture skilled work once, then turn it into usable learning for the next crew.

Capture the environment and the work

Use 360-degree capture and suitable wearable XR glasses to record the installation environment, selected work sequences, explanations and commissioning. Luke’s initial brief names Exo glasses; the exact product and site configuration will be confirmed within the equipment package. Capture combines spatial context with the practical knowledge held by electricians, plumbers, cooling specialists, network technicians and experienced coordinators.

From recording to just-in-time learning

Associate recordings with the equipment, drawings, procedures, task conditions and results they explain. Skilled people identify which parts teach a general method and which are specific to that site. Turn the useful material into short lessons, simulated rehearsals and guidance available at the moment a worker needs it. Records of faults and corrections are as valuable as the successful installation sequence.

Keep learning connected to demonstrated work

A learner’s record shows what they observed, rehearsed and carried out, with the relevant supervisor and evidence. The training system supports qualified work and assessed competence. It does not award a trade qualification merely because a person watched a recording. Paid learning, specialist mentoring and the time required to produce good training material belong in the delivery budget.

A curriculum already connected to infrastructure

Aura Teacher Training Day 41 joins a chosen workload to a wellbeing-and-compute hub, its physical dependencies, an XR installation rehearsal, commissioning, handover and a fault scenario. Day 42 follows personal records through devices, hubs and other services while preserving permissions and continuity. Those connections provide a direct starting point for the delivery team and the Aura learning programme.

Preserve industry knowledge through succession

Mutual Futures adds a route for established trade and service businesses to join the federation through partnership or an agreed succession. Experienced owners and staff can pass on supplier relationships, quoting methods, uncommon faults and practical judgement through paid mentoring. The programme builds on the industry’s existing expertise rather than pretending software replaces it.
