Installing the Missing Middle

Community compute. Useful heat. Local ownership.

An invitation to build together

Megan and Brad, I want to bring our capabilities together to build a national installation business within a federation of people and corporate vehicles. The business installs frontier-class compute where communities can use it, connects useful heat to suitable facilities, and creates a financed pathway into local co-operative ownership.

A national scale with local beginnings

Our planning basis is a future Australian population of 30 million, with one single-rack node per 10,000 people: 3,000 nodes. We invite participation across every postcode at once, then focus installation resources where local responses bring together members, customers, facilities, people and finance. The national invitation is simultaneous; physical deployment follows the opportunities that develop.

The installation business

The commercial focus is site development, procurement, electrical and mechanical integration, UPS, heat recovery, commissioning, workforce learning, handover, maintenance and generational upgrades. A growing federation develops the applications and services running on that infrastructure. These are connected businesses and programmes, not departments of one compulsory parent company.

More capability, held closer to people

Hospitals, schools with pools, aquatic centres, wellbeing hubs and aged-care or longevity hubs create places to combine useful computing with useful heat. Personal Auras, council and electorate simulations, education, care, tourism, creative work and science give that infrastructure a wider purpose. Communities can also bring their own applications and connect the AI tools they choose.

A return with an end point

Government support, venture and other investment, member capital and co-operative acquisitions accelerate deployment. The investment arrangement provides an agreed finite return and an exit, rather than a perpetual claim over community income. As co-operatives buy in and take ownership, capital becomes available for further installations. Renewal funding keeps the asset useful through changing hardware generations.
